Well, I got away from work on Friday in reasonable time and made it to the ball - which was great fun and it was good to get away from work for an evening, have a couple of glasses of wine and create some shapes on the dance floor... Anyone who knows me will know that my ‘shapes' are completely out of sync with the music and Beth describes my dancing style as more akin to a drunken toddler!
Lots happening on site and it's great to see marquees and trade stands popping up over the Park. It is however always very slightly nerve-racking watching the tents be built, as you can't help but wonder whether the chosen layouts and dimensions will actually work OK in practice.
What is more worrying (and exciting) though is the thought that just a week tomorrow we will be opening our gates to the masses!
The Park is looking great, the finishing touches are being made to the Cross Country Course and plenty of water is still being applied - although a light drizzle is now falling.
Ticket sales are now at fever pitch, with hundreds of orders pouring in daily - remember the booking office closes very soon.
