Daisy Blooms in the Bramham Sunshine

Daisy Dick and her "twinkle toed" Springbok IV are the overnight leaders ahead of tomorrow's cross country test with local rider Nicola Wilson just 3.2 marks adrift with Master Banks.  A delighted Daisy said, "He made a small few mistakes in the arena but you can push him and he only becomes more extravagant.  It's nice to be on one like him and actually enjoy the dressage!"  Springbok IV is no stranger to winning as he was first at the Blenheim CCI*** in 2006 and was also a winner earlier this year in Portugal on the Sunshine Tour.  Daisy's performance relegates last night's leaders Nicola Wilson and Master Banks to second and Pippa Funnell with Ensign are third.

Jennifer Brannigan  has made her trip across the Atlantic count as she leads the Bishop Burton U25s with Cooper on a score of 42.8.  France's Maxime Livio  is just one penalty point behind with Jaipur II and Gemma Tattersall keeps British hopes alive in third with her second ride of the day, Nyali Beach.

Andrew Nicholson holds his overnight advantage with Epic in the CIC*** and heads a New Zealand one-two-three.  Neil Spratt is 2.6 penalties worse off with Upleadon and Joe Meyer with Ariki, the penultimate combination of the day, completed the Kiwi hat trick in third.

Gemma Tattersall and Ollie Artois are the first combination on Sue Benson's cross country course Saturday morning at 9:30 in the Bishop Burton Under 25 Championships.  The CCI*** riders are next from 10:30 until about 1:30 with the CIC*** following on.
