Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials Interactive Course Guide
Bramham Horse Trials have created an interactive guided cross country course for iPhone and iPad users. Riders and spectators at the Equi-Trek Bramham International Horse Trials on June 7th-10th can now download the CCI3* and CIC3* courses with photos, videos and comments. This will enhance spectator appreciation of the challenges that course designer Ian Stark has set the riders and their mounts and their enjoyment of the event.
An intelligent course map will also be available on the website.
“This revolutionary Australian technology will also make our Three Star course accessible to eventing enthusiasts all over the world” said Event Director Nicholas Pritchard.
About CrossCountry App
CrossCountry App helps event riders to memorise their courses and ride to time.
Riders create a personal course map or can annotate one recorded by the event organiser or another rider. As they walk the course with their iPhone, CrossCountry app creates a course track with jumps overlaid on a Google satellite map, measures the course with GPS tracking and automatically calculates minute markers. Riders add photos, videos, comments and striding then quickly browse the course before they compete to remind themselves how to tackle each jump.
It is highly intuitive and easy to use and will work without mobile phone reception or internet.
Bramham International will extend the use of the app to a new audience of spectators.
CrossCountry App is used by riders of all levels from Australian Olympic Gold Medalist Stuart Tinney and Silver Medalist Clayton Fredericks to novice adult riders and pony club members.
Courses from all around the world can be downloaded free from crossscountryapp.com/courses
CrossCountry App will map any course, anywhere in the world. It is used in Australia, the USA, UK, Italy, Canada, Holland, Norway, Germany, Sweden, France, Denmark, New Zealand, Ireland, Hong Kong, Mexico and South Africa.
CrossCountry for iPhone and iPad can be downloaded from the Appstore.
