Front Cover Photo Competition Winner Announced!

The Bramham International Horse Trials Photo Competition once again proved extremely popular, and the Organisers are delighted to announce that this year's winner is Sara Reynard from Botcheston in Leicestershire.

Sara's picture of Nicola Wilson and Bee Diplomatic at the Sunday morning Vet's Inspection captured the feeling of ‘all things Yorkshire' with the famous Bramham Clock Tower in the background, together with the Yorkshire Rose beautifully marked on the horse's hind quarters and a true Yorkshire rider.

Sara is a member of the team who organise the Vet's Inspections and has been doing this role for the last three or four years.  "I got a really good camera in May, and I just kept snapping away in between my duties at Bramham.  I'm amazed and delighted that one of my pictures has been chosen as next year's front cover.  I wanted to try and capture the beauty and features of Bramham Park, as well as capturing the feeling of the competition."

Sara is currently on a ‘career break' (being a Mummy!) from her position of Ladies Nightwear Designer for George of Asda, and is keen to develop her love of country lifestyle photography into a part time career, and she plans to launch a website at the end of the year.

Two runners up were chosen.  Jane Horton from Leeds with her photo of Laura Shears and Kings Fancy, and Tony Dallamore, also from Leeds, with a great action shot of Carnival Hill II ridden by Cassandra Price.

With over 300 photographs to choose from, it was once again a very difficult decision, but Event Director, Nicholas Pritchard said "It was great fun to judge.  The standard of photographs was very high, and we are delighted with the result."

Next year's dates are 2nd - 5th June 2011 - and remember to bring your camera with you for your chance to win the competition for the 2012 cover!
