Shop, Snap and Spree at Bramham in 2010

Bramham International Horse Trials, 03 - 06 June 2010, is legendary for world-class equine action.  With three international sections of eventing; CIC***, CCI*** and Bishop Burton College Under 25 CCI*** plus top level show jumping, showing classes, Pony Club mounted games and show jumping plus the fun of the Mix and Match competition, equestrian enthusiasts will have plenty to enjoy.  However, equally famous is the 120 stand shopping village where there's something for everyone.  Plus, the successful photography competition, introduced last year, will run again: so during the event, if you're out and about spectating, shopping, people watching or relaxing make sure your camera is to hand and your picture could be the cover of the 2011 event programme.

For one week of the year, the normally rolling green parkland of Bramham becomes a shoppers' paradise.  For the fashion followers, there's a huge range of clothing - high fashion, country style or totally unique - whatever your taste,  there's jewellery sellers galore including Hi Ho Silver who will be selling a fundraising red, white and blue bracelet for Team GBR and accessories including bags, hats and shoes.  Of course you'll find everything to kit out the equines, but there are also a number of outlets for our canine friends too.  Rural Crafts have a large tent where you can always find something for that relative who's impossible to buy for and Gourmet House is a treat for the senses.   For the outdoor lovers, there's magnificent garden furniture, plants and trees plus play equipment for the kids.  If all of the shopping leaves you famished, there's a great range of catering outlets for all tastes and appetites, including the new Bistro within the Members area serving light snacks to hearty meals all at very affordable prices.

The shopping village is open during competition times over the four days but on Friday, its late night shopping at Bramham so why not leave work early and come to the Event - admission is FREE after 4pm.  You can have a stroll round the shops, walk Ian Stark's cross country course, take in some dressage and enjoy an evening Pimms or glass of bubbly and supper ringside.

What every your ability, you are in with a chance of winning at Bramham - well, for your photography efforts. Fiona Parsons made an entry last year and her photo will have pride of place on Bramham's event programme cover and her picture won her members' passes for the event. It's as easy as that.  Whatever your age or photographic ability, Bramham are looking for an image that epitomizes the event and captures the spirit of the four day extravaganza - horses are not essential.  Full details on how to enter and the requirements of your image will be on the website - www.bramham-horse.co.uk and available during the event and in the programme.  So remember to bring your camera for your visit to Bramham and get snapping - entries close 31 July 2010.
